Scarlets and the Wales Rugby Team prop Samson Lee has become the latest of a long list of players to sign the new national dual contract (NDC) with his region as well as the welsh Rugby Union (WRU).
The 22 year old tight head prop, who won the first of his nine caps for Wales as a substitute against Argentina in 2013 was thought to have been holding out for a better contract, but in the end, put pen to paper to what was offered to him. He played in all of his country’s autumn internationals in 2014, including their historic reverse against South Africa.
Speaking at his unveiling at the Scarlets, Lee said that the decision came easily to him. He added that this new national dual contract is the best of both worlds, adding that it allowed him to commit his future to his region where he is enjoying his rugby immensely and where he also feels at home but it also allows him exciting times ahead with the Wales Rugby Team.
